PUTRAJAYA: Further action on the allegations of judicial interference in two high profile cases under the previous government administration will only be taken once the internal investigation by the Chief Justice office is completed, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Liew Vui Keong.
The de facto Law Minister was referring to the judicial meddling claims by senior judges in the unilateral conversion of M Indira Gandhi’s children and the late parliamentarian Karpal Singh’s sedition trial.
In an earlier report, Chief Justice Tan Sri Richard Malanjum said an internal probe was currently being conducted for both cases.
Liew said this in response to the media after his visit to the Royal Floria Putrajaya here in conjunction with its 10th anniversary last Friday.
Themed “10 Wonders of Floria” from Aug 25 to Sept 2, the event that was expected to attract a million visitors both local and foreign also saw participation of nine countries namely Philippines, Singapore, Japan, China, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Indonesia.
