PUTRAJAYA: Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law) Datuk Liew Vui Keong will lead a Malaysian delegation to the Seventh Assembly of Parties (AoP) of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) in Vienna, Austria from Sept 27 to 28.
The annual AoP served as a forum for Parties to consult on the overall policy of the Academy and on other matters of interest under the IACA Agreement.
Yesterday, Liew received a courtesy call from IACA Dean and Executive Secretary Martin Kreutner at his office here to brief him about the AoP that would convened at the Vienna International Centre.
IACA was established on March 8, 2011 and is known for its role to educate government and other officials on anti-corruption measures.
At the same time, Liew briefed Kreutner about the law and institutional reforms currently taking place in Malaysia under the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government.
“The reforms are mostly written in the PH Manifesto that must be carried out in five years’ time,” he said.
Towards this end, Liew also said he believed Malaysia will rise stronger back to her glory days.
Meanwhile, after attending the AoP, Liew is making a stopover in London where he is scheduled to meet up with Malaysian students studying in universities there.-SabahNewsToday
