MUAR: Former rocker Zamani Ibrahim is aiming to set the stage on fire once again.
A recluse for almost 12 years, the former Slam rock group vocalist is making a comeback with a single to be released soon.
According to Zamani, he never had any preference for composers but the song would be by an Indonesian composer and coincidentally, Indonesian songs are the rage among local music fans.
“To date, we have not decided on the title of the song which revolves around unrequited love, but this is not related to the story of my life,” he told reporters at a press conference here recently.
Although the name of the composer was still under wraps, he said he would be singing his latest single at the YSQuare Connexion Hall Mall on Feb 26, in conjunction with a charity dinner to raise funds for the Johor chapter of the Malaysia Cancer Foundation.
“From then on, I hope to rebuild my career in the music scene and meet my fans again, having stayed away from the limelight for quite sometime,” added Zamani.-BERNAM
