KUALA LUMPUR: A younger brother of the late DPP Anthony Kevin Morais should assist the police in the latter’s murder case or face prosecution for withholding information, according to police.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the police would call up the brother, Charles Suresh Morais, over a claim that he had some
information on the murder of Anthony Kevin.
“If the brother really has some information, he should surrender it to the police for investigation. Withholding such information can be regarded as an
offence. I suggest that he (Charles Suresh) share the information with the police so that action can be taken. The police will be unable to act without information on the late (Anthony) Kevin,” he said when contacted by Bernama tonight.
Khalid was asked to comment on a news portal report today that the information in question was stored in a pendrive in the possession of an
individual in the United States who had been instructed to make public its contents if anything untoward happened.
The body of Anthony Kevin, 55, was found in a drum filled with concrete near Persiaran Subang Mewah in Subang Jaya near here on Sept 16 after he was reported missing on Sept 4.
He was last seen leaving his condominium in Menara Duta here for work at the Attorney-General’s Office in Putrajaya. – BERNAMA
