TAWAU: Community members in the district regardless of their age are invited to attend the state level World’s Stroke Awareness Day that will be held at Tawau Library this 28 November from 10.00am to 3.00pm.
The programme’s coordinator, Dr. Mohammad Shahruddin, said various health activities will be carried out such as stroke awareness forum which will give information on the sickness.
“The forum will also explain about surgeries for stroke patients, image diagnosis, ideal diet, the role of physiotherapy for rehabilitation, and includes a clinic for quitting smoking.
“We also hold free health screening, cooking demonstration for healthy food, blood donation, organ donation campaign, rehabilitation (physiotherapy and work ethic), medicines identification, and lucky draw event,” he said during the press conference for the event.
The Stroke Awareness Day is expected to be officiated by the state Deputy Minister of Resource Development and IT Technology, Datuk Hamisa Samat. -SayangSabah
