SANDAKAN: UMNO Women in the state are urged to actively participate in business and entrepreneurship profession as there are many supports provided for UMNO women and trainees either in public or private sectors to improve their economy.
“With the cooperation of Department of Women’s Affairs (JHEWA) and Women and Family Development Councils (MPWK), women have a bright future in business and entrepreneurship sector,” says Sabah UMNO Women Chief, Datuk Armani Mahiruddin, in her speech for Libaran UMNO Branch Women Division Meeting at Dewan Sri Libaran.
Armani, who is also the Women Exco, stressed that women need to utilize the supports and opportunities provided by the government through its various agencies to improve their families’ condition of living.
The programme was officiated by Libaran UMNO Vice Chief, Datuk Zakaria Mohd Edris. The meeting for UMNO Women branch divisions began in 15 March and will end on 2 May. – SayangSabah
