KOTA KINABALU: “Women play a significant role in management, of which preventing or reducing unproductive negative factors in DBKK service.”
Kota Kinabalu Mayor, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, was speaking during the 23rd Bandaraya Branch PUSPANITA Annual Grand Meeting, at Dewan Puspa, Centre Point, this morning.
“Currently there are 1,800 DBKK employees with 900 of them (30%) are women, who directly assisting in the development effort through DBKK services,” he said, adding that DBKK will continue to support PUSPANITA’s programmes for the benefit of the organization’s members and community.
“Other bodies under DBKK such as the REKA Club and Bandaraya PEMADAM can combine their strength and financial resource with PUSPANITA to hold high-impact activities together,” he said.
The annual grand meeting were also attended by Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu PUSPANITA Chairperson, Datin Florence Malangkig, PUSPANITA central committee members, and PUSPANITA members. –SayangSabah
