TAWAU: Woman entrepreneurs must participate in more competitive business opportunities.
Sabah Assistant Minister of Resource Development and Information Technology, Datuk Hamisa Samat, said that even when most woman entrepreneurs begin from small businesses, they also can become successful in business world.
To expand and maintain their business, they must also have the necessary capital, besides from knowledge, skills in technology, and expertise in related professions, he said.
“Transformation programme launched by the State and Federal government also open the opportunites for women to become a player in business industries.
“It is time for Bumiputera women entrepeneurs to be actively involved in business and entrepreneurship to improve their family economic condition,” he said in his speech for officiating the Kalabakan Community Education Division of Kemas Department Programme in Kg. Kuala Merotai, Tawau, here today.
Hamisa added, women entrepreneurs need creativity in business and not relying on employment in government sector because the opportunity is limited and competitive.
Previously, Datuk Hamisa accompanied by Tanjong Batu PPM Unit officials were inspecting the new building planned as Kemas school, and with Tawau District Kemas Department officials also visited the maintenance progress of the wooden bridge in Kg. Tanjong Batu Log Pond, Tawau. – SayangSabah
