IPOH: A woman died, another woman suffered breathing difficulties and a man suffered 40 per cent burns in a fire at a house here early today.
Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station chief P. Samasuvam said the trio were in the house at Hala Bekor 2 in Taman Pertama when it caught fire at 2.06am.
Firemen from the Jalan Kompleks Sukan fire station put out the fire in 10 minutes, he said, adding that an Emergency Response Medical Service team also came to the house.
Samasuvam said the firemen had to break open the back door of the house to bring out the three people whose identities had yet to be determined.
The woman who suffered breathing difficulties and the man were taken to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, he said, adding that the body of the other woman was also taken there.
The cause of the fire had yet to be ascertained, he told Bernama. – BERNAMA
