KOTA KINABALU: The wish of a child with brain cancer to get a ‘Transformers’ toy was fulfilled when he was visited by the wife of the Sabah Head of State, Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Norlidah Tan Sri R.M Jasni, and the Nur Jauhar Foundation (YNJ) during the Ziarah Kasih Programme.
Travelling through the hilly village of Shantung Luyang, it was not an obstacle for Toh Puan Norlidah to present ‘Transformers’ toys to Saiful Ali, 11 years old, and fulfill his dream.
YNJ also contributed necessities to Saiful’s family and gives the donation from Sabah Baitulmal through the Syukbah Women of Kota Kinabalu City Mosque.
Toh Puan Norlidah also presented donations from Malaysian Sisters Centre, which is to be distributed to orphanages and hostels across the state under the supervision of Loreta Convent (Generalate), this morning.
A helping hand was also extended by YNJ to several poor families around Kg. Likas and Kg. Salut.
Its chairperson, Tuan Haji Al Hambra Tun Juhar, said six Ziarah Kasih programmes have been held this year, involving 900 individuals and welfare bodies.
“YNJ helps those who are in need regardless of their ethnicity or religion, and always give the effort to help these group through similar programmes that are launched in other districts in the state,” he said. –SayangSabah
