KOTA KINABALU: Warisan Harta Sabah Sdn Bhd took a strategic approach by becoming a leading company in sustainable energy and information communication technology infrastructure (ICT) in the state.
Its chairman, Datuk Syed Abas Syed Ali, said the approach will strengthen the company’s profitability and gain a sustainable income for the next twenty years.
“AT the same time, we also empower rural socioeconomic growth by implementing mini hydro projects and make Sabah as one of the leading state in ICT coverage,” he said.
He was giving his speech during the breaking of fast ceremony and zakat donation presentation for Darul Bakti orphanage at Tun Sakaran Complex Hall, Tabung Haji Sembulan.
Also present was Sabah Dun Speaker, Datuk Salleh Said, on behalf of the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
Syed Abas said Warisan Harta Sabah was founded in 1995 and has since become a catalyst for the state economic growth through various investments to improve the state’s wellbeing that are to be shared with the people.
In achieving more success in the future by the company, he said its board of directors and administration has set the company’s path in the sustainable energy and ICT sector.
In 2014, he added, Warisan Harta Sabah achieved an outstanding financial performance.
”We shared our profits through zakat donations and contribution amounting to RM1.5 million, which is the highest amount compared to the previous years,” he said. – SayangSabah
