KUALA LUMPUR: The 1,646 job vacancies in the Immigration Department will be filled in stages from early next year.

Its deputy director-general (Management), Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman said from the figure, 484 candidates for grade KP17 posts and 70 for the grade KP27 posts were expected to report for duty in February, 2016.

“To date, only 12,774 posts have been filled, while the Immigration Department is collaborating with the Public Service Commission to hold interview sessions to fill the rest of the vacant posts. This recruitment exercise will be able to fill the vacancies nationwide,
particularly in Johor.”

Abdul Halim told this to Bernama after officiating at the Federal Territory-level Immigration Day 2015 celebration, here, today.

Meanwhile, he hoped the government would approve the application for a RM200 per month enforcement incentive involving an allocation of RM30.4 million. – BERNAMA
