KUCHING: The determination of the Sarawak police in eliminating cyber gambling activities scored another success last night
following a raid on two gambling premises at Taman Duranda Emas, along the Kuching-Serian road, here.
Sarawak CID Chief, SAC Dev Kumar M.M Sree Shunmugam said that in the first raid on a premises on the first floor of a shophouse at the housing area at about 9.15 pm, police seized 16 computers believed to be used for online gambling.
He said police also detained two men and a woman aged between 21 to 27 years old who were at the premises to assist in the investigation.
In the second raid on another shoplot nearby about half an hour later, police seized 11 computers and detained two youths to assist in the investigation.
“The two youths, who are still schooling in form one and form five, are believed to be working in the premises. The total value of the equipment and computers seized is estimated at RM40,500,” he said in a statement here.- BERNAMA
