TELUK INTAN: The Magistrate’s Court here today set Feb 26 for mention of a case involving a traditional medicine practitioner who was
charged with outraging the modesty of his patient.
Magistrate Siti Hanum Mohmad Sah fixed the date for handing over of documents after the accused, Roslan Omar, 44, informed the court that he had appointed a counsel from the National Legal Aid Foundation.
Roslan was charged with outraging the modesty of the 31-year-old woman while treating her at a house in Jalan Pasar Bagan Datoh near here between 3 am and 6 am last Jan 2.
The charge, under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which provides an imprisonment for up to 10 years, or fine, or whipping, if found guilty.
