KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment through the Sabah Tourism Board is committed to identify tourism products in Moyog and promote two of its new tourism products.
Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Kamarlin Ombi, said the two new products that are to be promoted are the musical theatre ‘Sininggazanak’ at JBorneo Native Village, and Tagal Tinopikon at Kg. Notorus Babagon.
“In line with the government’s effort to make Sabah as a tourism destination and diversify its products, my ministry is always on the go to encourage products and facilities development for tourism across the state,” he said during the DUN Assembly.
He was responding to Terrence Siambun (PKR-Moyog) who asked on the efforts done by the ministry to make Moyog as a tourist destination by benefitting its potential.
Kamarlin said his ministry is also active in promoting attractive spots for tourists in Moyog, such as the Sub-Station Inobong and Gunung Alab at Crocker Range Park, and the Salt Trail which covers the route from Sub-Station Inobong Penampang to Tambunan.
The ministry also promote the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park, St. Micheal’s Church in Penampang which was built in 1886 by Mill Hill Missionaries and completed in 1947, Tamu Donggongon, and Kipandi Butterfly Park. -SayangSabah
