KUALA LUMPUR: Three Hindu devotees, who walked from Senawang, near Seremban to Batu Caves to celebrate Thaipusam, were killed after a car ploughed into them near Seri Petaling, this morning.
A police spokesman said here, today three others were seriously injured in the mishap which took place on the North-South Expressway at 8.30 am today.
He said the driver of the car was reported to have sped off after the accident.
He said the bodies of the victims were taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) while the injured were sent to the University Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre for treatment.
At HKL, several family members of the victims had been called to identify the bodies at the mortuary.- BERNAMA
