KOTA KINABALU: Sixteen-year-old schoolboy Eyon fended off his peers Ricoz Jung to bag the inaugural Tambunan Beatbox Battle held last weekend at The Titanic Café before a packed audience.
Ryan Leeryx, 15, from Telupid took the third placing and was visibly happy and surprised to make the cut given that all the top ten finalists were seasonal contestants.
Local boy Leo Anthony 17, a last minute participant took the fourth placing. He finished in the top ten spots during the previous two state-level competitions.
Nazwan, 16, from Likas clinched the fifth spot after some impressive fighting spirit and determination as he took the tenth and eighth spots during his previous first two outings.
The next battles has been set on November 21 and 29 at the Keningau Mall and the Dewan Antanom, announced organising chairman Peter Dicky Lee.-Sayangsabah
