TAMBUNAN: Tambunan’s performance in implementing organized development projects has made the district a role model for city planning in the state.
Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, said the district has achieved a 100 percent coverage in providing basic facilities such as electricity and water supplies for all the villages.
“The state government is impressed with the development and basic facilities coverage in Tambunan, as we are informed by the District Officer (Thomas Logijin),” he said after attending the Tambunan and Keningau development briefing, here today.
The briefing was delivered by District Officer, Thomas Logijin, for Tambunan, and Keningau was represented by its District Officer, Yusof Osman.
Musa said, the briefing covers various topics such as development, challenges, poverty-eradication efforts, lands, basic facilities, and other related issues which are important for the government to evaluate development progress in every district in Sabah.
He added that they will organize a working visit to every districts in the state, starting from Tambunan and Keningau.
Musa was accompanied by his Deputy Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, in his working visit to Mahua Waterfall and Tambunan Orphanage. – SayangSabah
