KOTA KINABALU: A fast food outlet,SugarBun, launched its ‘Prosperity Meal’ to welcome the lunar Chinese new year on Feb 19.
In conjunction with the event the outlet is giving away SB ang pow packets for customers spending above RM26 in a single receipt, said Law Cheng Seng, the manager at the launch at Metro Town, Kolombong recently.
Themed ‘Nien Nien Yu Yee’ or ever prosperity, burger customers who purchased three combo meals namely fish & savoury rice at RM11.20 ; fish & chips and fish (RM12) & broasted chicken with savoury rice (RM13.50) are qualified for them.
“On the dish, we are using hoki fish from New Zealand and th e supply are caught in deep sea thus the fish is consider pollution free,” said Law.
“The fish is certified by Marine Stewardship Council and Friend of the Sea,” he added.
The fish fillets are prepared with coasted crispy Japanese crumb and deep-fried with controlled temperature and time, he said, adding the meals is available from today until March 5 or chap goh mei.
In Chinese the fish represents wealth and prosperity because the actual character for fish also translate to abundance.- Sayangsabah.
