KOTA KINABALU: A Southwesterly wind travelling 50-60km per hour  will hit the West Coast, Kudat, Labuan,  and the state interior is expected to continue until next Wednesday.

In a statement issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department, strong winds can cause high waves up to 4.5m in waters off Kudat, while in the Interior and West Coast, the waves could reach up to 3.5m height.

“The weather condition is dangerous for all shore activities, as well as to ships and fishermen,” it said.

Strong wind and rough seas are also expected for Condore, Reef North, Layang-Layang, Palawan, and Sulu until Wednesday. – SayangSabah
