KUALA NERUS: To overcome the widespread use of vape among students at the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), there will be stricter enforcement on its usage, beginning next year.
Deputy vice-chancellor (Student Affairs), Prof Dr Anuar Hasan said the university was currently taking measures to educate students on the dangers of vaping, as well as its negative impact on health, the community and the
environment in general.
“For starters, the university has e-mailed all its 10,000 students and staff on the regulation to enable them to understand and be aware of the ban,” he told reporters after the launch of a seminar by UMT Vice-Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Nor Aieni Mokhtar here today.
About 600 students from public institutions of higher learning in Kuala Terengganu attended the seminar.
