KUCHING: In conjunction with the 1Malaysia National Family Month 2015 celebration and the closing ceremony of the Keluarga Bahagia Tour (Happy Family Tour) 2015 programme, the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry today launched special edition stamps and postcards of ‘I Love My Family’.
Its Minister Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said the collection of stamps and postcards was issued to reminisce the nostalgia of how people used to express their love through letters, cards and postcards.
“Information disseminating via smartphones is easy but for me, receiving physical cards from loved ones is what matters most and it can be kept for remembrance,” she said at a press conference, here.
The closing ceremony of the JKB 2015 and the launch of the special edition stamps and postcards were graced by Chief Minister’s wife Puan Sri Jamilah Anu.
Rohani said the 10,000 pieces of ‘I Love My Family’ postcards and stamps were available for free at the National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) booth at CityOne Mall, Kuching for two days beginning today.
Launched on March 15 in Pusa, Sarawak the JKB 2015 was held at eight locations including in Bekenu, Sarawak; Sabah; Perak; Terengganu; Melaka and Kedah. – BERNAMA
