IPOH: A food stall operator was injured in the head by three robbers who entered his premises at Kampung Keboi, Kuala Dipang near Kampar, yesterday.
In the 1.30pm incident, the victim, Wong Kok Keong, 48, was cleaning his stall when he was approached by the suspects about a pig farm in the area and they ordered some drinks.
Kampar police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said one of the suspects then whipped out a pistol and pointed at the victim.
“The victim panicked and ran for his life but was caught by the robbers after a short chase. They tied him up one of them hit him on the head with a hard object. The robbers fled when the victim shouted for help,” he said when contacted today.
Ng said the suspects escaped in a Ford Ranger with the victim’s shotgun as well as 10 bullets. He said the victim was sent to the Kampar Hospital for treatment. – BERNAMA
