KOTA KINABALU: Some 309 participants of the 42nd Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme (SSEAYP) have been welcomed by their 121 foster families during a ceremony attended by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Permanent Secretary, Datuk Suzannah Liaw, at Likas Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall.
SSEAYP participants who become foster children in the programme will undergo activities with their new families until 8 December.
Upon the completion of the foster children programme, they will return to Nippon Maru ship to continue their next schedule until 15 December.
Putatan, Penampang, Menggatal, Papar, Kota Belud, and Tuaran are the five districts that have been selected for the foster children programme with SSEAYP. –SayangSabah
