BEAUFORT: The advancement in information technology must be utilized by students to find information and additional knowledge for their studies.
However, some students misuse these high-tech facilities for fun by surfing in social media and entertainment blogs, neglecting their studies.
Beaufort Division UMNO Vice Chief, Mohd Fadzlee Abdullah, said the students in the district must reduce their times for surfing in social medias and spend more time to focus on their education.
“Most of the students who achieve excellent results in their academics are highly disciplined in their studies, and diligent with their revision at home as well as benefiting from internet facilities to get additional knowledge,” he said in his speech for officiating STPM 2014 Graduation Day for SMK Menumbok students, here today.
About 11 students from SMK Menumbok sitting for STPM examination last year were celebrated in the ceremony.
