KOTA KINABALU – To get good grades in school, one need to study hard and smart.

It is a simple yet tiring process where the students need to be consistent and focus in their study.

The hard work and effort paid off once the result come out with flying colours; and that’s what happen to Mohd Amirul Asyraf who received the Tokoh Pelajar Award at the presentation excellence award for SMK Tansau at Wisma Muis, here today.

“It is all worth it; the hard work, staying up late, not having enough sleep and all the effort that I have put in for my study is all paid off with this award,” he said to SayangSabah.

Amirul who is the oldest from four siblings said that students need not to put a lot of stress when studying.

“I believe that you need to enjoy when you study because the time you have in schools is the best moment and once it ends you can’t turn back time,” he said.

Received 9As and 2Bs in his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Amirul suggested that soft skills would be an added skills set for students to be successful in the real world.

“When we study it is all exam oriented. I think maybe in our education syllabus, we need to add soft skill as part of the subject such as communication and leadership courses,” he said. – By Fizah Yusof/SayangSabah
