KOTA KINABALU: Alumni of SMK Badin, Tuaran is urged to set up a cooperative which can help in generating income for its members and the organization.
Sabah Malaysia Cooperative Commision (SKM) Director, Umar Sarim Saidin, said the cooperative which is based on partnership concept will have the competitive edge in both business and industrial sectors.
“I am confident that the alumni cooperative can become a platform for the school’s former students to work together in improving their socio-economic status and to look after its members’ welfare.
“In this regard, SKM is ready to help in setting up the alumni cooperative in advisory service as well as initial capital,” he said in his speech for the launching of SMK Badin 79/80 Students Reunion Night at 1Borneo, near here.
Umar Sarim who is also SMK Badin alumni hopes for the school’s alumni to consider the proposal in setting up the cooperative, which will benefit its members economically. – SayangSabah
