KUALA LUMPUR: Police today arrested six men on suspicion of vandalising public property in several areas in the federal capital.
The men, in their 30s to 50s, were arrested at about 4am as they were spray-painting anarchy symbols in Jalan Petaling, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman and Jalan Melayu, said Dang Wangi Police chief ACP Zainol Samah.
He said the police believed they could be participants of an assembly scheduled to be held here tomorrow.
“We are identifying several more suspects,” he told a news conference at the Dang Wangi Police headquarters here.
He said the men were being remanded for three days until Sunday to assist in the investigation. – BERNAMA
