KOTA KINABALU: Twenty secondary schools with a total of 700 students took part in the Institut Sinaran Environment Day 2015 held at its campus in Jalan Tuaran bypass today.
Institut Sinaran chief executive officer William Pan said they were also glad as this year they had received financial assistance from Environment Protection Department, Hap Seng Property Development and Hazeline Pride Enterprise as well as 700 pieces of t-shirts sponsored by Taylor’s University to organise the event.
Besides an exhibition opened to the public, there were three competitive events lined up during yesterday celebration where Muhd Umar from SMK Kota Marudu won in the environment video making contest and received RM1,000. In the eco-challenge contest, the first prize was won by SM All Saints and also received RM1,000.
For the “YB Minister! We have something to tell you” contest, which required the participating teams to present their views on any environmental issues related to Sabah to our very own minister and it was won by SM St Francis Convent. They get RM800.-Sayangsabah
