SANDAKAN: The responsibility to help the needy is always been the focus of Libaran UMNO Sayang Wanita Squad in their programmes to donate welfare contribution.

Saah UMNO Women Chief, Datuk Armani Mahiruddin, said the Sayang Squad roadshows programmes in several locations to  meet with senior citizens, orphans, single mothers, and impoverished families are to understand their problems, and to ease their burdens by giving charity donations.

“We have visited several families and special children at Kg. Sungai Obar and Kg. Sungai Manila recently. We also visited the house of Herna Tutong, who had lost both of her parents.

“The loss has made the six siblings stronger and independent. They may have lost their parents, but they live as best as they can,” she said.

In the visit, Armani also donates personal contribution and basic necessities for Herna family.

The ‘Masih Ada Yang Sayang’ programme also visited Awang Maul at Kg. Rancangan Sungai Manila, Libaran, and Mohammad Asri Mohd Arbaini, a nine years old OKU child, to donate walking aids equipment. – SayangSabah
