KOTA KINABALU: Chairperson of Sabah Fisheries Marketing Association (SAFMA), Datuk Jaujan Sambakong, presented a cheque of RM2,071,072 to the state government for profit and loan payment.,
The cheque was received by the state Finance Ministry Permanent Secretary, Datuk Pangiran Hassanel Pangiran Mohd Tahir, at the State DUN building today.
Jaujan said from the amount RM2 million was allocated for SAFMA loan payment for the state government, with RM71,072 for dividend.
Also present during the cheque presentation were the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman, and his deputy cum state Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Datuk Seri Panglima Yahya Hussin.
He also said the Chief Minister has advised SAFMA and other agencies to carry out their administration systematically and contribute in generating income for the state.
“This is our target, where all agencies and departments owned by the state government to give their best in doing their responsibility and prevent losses of government properties due to negligence and malpractice,” he added. –SayangSabah
