PENAMPANG – Safety is applied to protect and prevent an individual from harm or accident.
Necessary measures should be taken to ensure safety especially among schoolchildren.
Today, a total of 549 pupils from ten schools in Penampang District took part in a safety campaign for primary schools at SK Tombovo, here.
The campaign themed “Let’s be Safe” was sponsored by Talisman Malaysia Limited that involved talks by the Royal Malaysia Police and the Fire and Rescue Department.
The schoolchildren were given the opportunity to learn about the risks on personal safety at home, school and public places with a special interactive video created by Talisman Malaysia.
The Talisman Malaysia Human Resource and Office Service Manager Johan Mohktar urged participants to share the safety tips and guidelines that they learn with their family and friends so that it will benefit the society as a whole.
Earlier this month, the campaign kick started in Kudat. The campaign aimed to reach out to more than 1,500 pupils in Sabah.
After the programme in Penampang; Kota Belud district will be the next stop. – SayangSabah
