KOTA KINABALU: The strong relation between various ethnics in the state is one of the uniqueness that must be preserved in accordance with the spirit of 1Malaysia.
Deputy Chairman of Sabah Forest Development Authority (Safoda), Normala Rasik, said maintaining a strong relation between the communities from various cultures and religions will benefit the unity in Sabah.
“This practice should be continued in the future to tie strong bonds among the public,” she said during the breaking of fast organized by Safoda.
Also present at the event were the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, and Safoda Chairman, Senator Datuk Dr. Lucas Umbul.
The programme which was co-organized by Safoda and the state UMNO Puteri also presented donations for 51 orphans from Kota Kinabalu, Sepanggar, Penampang, and Putatan.
She hopes for the donations to bring happiness for the less fortunate and help in their preparation to celebrate Syawal.
In another development, Normala who is also the state UMNO Puteri Chief, said her appointment as Safoda Vice Chairman is a recognition for UMNO Puteri.
She also expresses her commitment to uphold the trust given to her through the position with utmost responsibility. -SayangSabah
