KOTA KINABALU: The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Hj. Aman, calls for the people to give full cooperation to the government in its effort to handle threats against the state.
He said the public should have full confidence in the government and the security team to keep all kinds of threats at bay.
“The people should become the eye and ear of the government and for the security team. They are encouraged to channel information related to any suspicious activities at their areas for prevention measures to be taken by the authority,” he explained.
Musa was speaking during the press conference for Sabah Security Action Committee (JKKN) meeting at Wisma Innoprise, today.
He also said Sabah JKKN is serious in assessing any threat situations in the state.
“Sabah JKKN has given its priority on militancy influence and threats, including the Islamic State (IS) in the Sabah. Local authorities are ordered to monitor closely any signs and form of threats that exist for countermeasures to be taken,” he added.
All security agencies will improve its capability and cooperation as a cohesive team to react against any possible threats in Sabah.
Sabah JKKN will put safety as its top priority to safeguard peace and the wellbeing of the people in Sabah, he stressed. –SayangSabah
