KOTA KINABALU: The state level 2015 Consumers Day will be held this 28 November at Wisma Wanita.
The event is to celebrate individuals and groups who have contributed in the struggle to uphold consumers’ rights, said the state Minister of Community Development and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid, during the press conference for the event announcement.
The programme will start as early as 7.00am and will be officiated by the Sabah Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.
“The programme’s objective is to educate and expose the public on consumerism activities which should not be sidelined,” she explained.
The community, she said, must be receptive on their rights and responsibilities as a consumer.
Various activities will be organized for the event such as healthy menu cooking contest, stage entertainment event by Busker Group and local artists, and children colouring competition.
Stalls and kiosks will also be set up by local entrepreneurs during the programme. –SayangSabah
