KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Head of State, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin officiated the 2015 State level Warrior’s Day held at Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex Multipurpose Hall, this morning.
In the event, he also took part in the ceremonial inspection and drill ceremonies by the security forces. The programmes for the event this year also include the ‘Op Kinabalu’ pantomime by the 450 Task Force of the Malaysian Armed Forces from Lok Kawi camp with the collaboration of several mountain guides involved in the earthquake disaster.
Poem commemorating the mountain guides titled ‘Pahlawan’ written by the Assistant Minister for the Chief Minister, Datuk Mohd Ariffin Moh Arif, was also recited by Mohd Fauzi Jamika, from the Sabah JBPM Department headquarters.
Also present were the Deputy Chief Minister, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, who represented the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, and the Mayor of Kota Kinabalu, Datuk Abidin Madingkir, who is also the chairman for the celebration of the 2015 State level Warrior’s Day.
Other notable figure at the event, included the 450 Task Force Commander of the Armed Forces, Major General Datuk Masrani Paiman, Sabah Deputy Police Commissioner, Datuk Awang Sahari A.M Nadzeer, Rear Admiral Datuk Khairul Anuar Yahya, and 2 Air Division Commander of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF), Major General Ansar Ali Majeth. – SayangSabah
