TENOM: Sabah Agricxulture Park (TPS) has put Tenom on the world map as an international environment conservation centre in the country.
Sabah Rural Minister, Datuk Radin Malleh, said TPS is a milestone in the development of agriculture and environment conservation in the state.
He said, TPS has achieved remarkable progress, receiving various recognitions from the state, national, as well as international level.
“While TPS is more towards conservation for diverse plants for research purpose, its location and agro-tourism concept has made it an attraction which contributes to the economy in the interior region, especially in the district,” he said in his speech for officiating TPS 14th Anniversary Carnival.
Radin also hopes for TPS to implement more programmes this year which includes the cooperation with tourism sector to attract more tourists to the district, especially TPS. – SayangSabah
