KOTA KINABALU: The Sessions Court today set 25 to 26 February next year for the mention of a robbery case that involved a man and woman who were accused of committing the offence in 8 November last year.
The Judge, Azreena Aziz, set the new date for both of the accused after they pleaded not guilty for the charge.
The accused, Eshyam Osman, 39, and Siti Shazwani Zainuddin, 21, were allegedly in cahoot with another suspect who is still free for robbing Rm26, 000 from a man in front a shop at Tanjung Aru, at 12.40am.
They are charged under Section 395 of the Penal Code which carries a punishment of up to 20 years and caning, if found guilty.
In mitigation, the defense attorney, Marzuki Spawi, applied for the court to grant bail for both of the accused.
However, both of them will be detained until the next hearing. Prosecution was carried out by Husna Abdul Halim. -SayangSabah
