RM100,000 donation for Kg. Bangau-Bangau fire victims

SEMPORNA: About RM100,000 has been donated to reduce the burden of 297 families, who were victims in the fire disaster at Kg. Bangau-Bangau, in the district.

The donations was delivered by Bugaya State Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Ramlee Marhaban, to 2,600 villagers including children who are affected by the incident which happened last Wednesday.

Ramlee, who is also Sabah Deputy Finance Minister, said the incident which destroyed 233 houses will be given a full attention from the state government and the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman.

“We are concerned with the villagers’ wellbeing and it is my responsibility to help them (victims) to reduce their burden.

“I also hope for all the victims to remain patient and keep their families safe, as well as to watch for their health,” he said in his speech for the donation presentation ceremony for the 297 families at Dewan Masyarakat Semporna.

Ramlee also urge the community leaders to take precautionary approach in protecting their village safety, especially to prevent fire disaster from happening. – SayangSabah
