KOTA KINABALU: Minister of Special Tasks Datuk Teo Chee Kang commended mountain guides who joined the first Mountain Search and Rescue Unit (MOSAR) as auxiliary firemen under the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
Teo said mountain guides not only have the hiking experience and physique to do the job competently, they would also enhance Bomba’s strength and efficiency in search and rescue (SAR) efforts.
Teo, who is also Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) president, said that during the presentation of Raya goodies at Bomba headquarters here yesterday, along with LDP Supreme Council, Youth and Women members.
The party members also went to Sabah police headquarters (IPK) in Kepayan and Lok Kawi Army Camp to distribute the Raya goodies later on the same day.
Also present were LDP vice president Chin Shu Ying, chief publicity officer Albert Kok, organizing secretary Peter Chong Su Leong, Supreme Council member Albert Ngan, Central Women Movement leader Datin Shim Nyat Yun, deputy Central Women leader Glenna Wong and deputy Central youth leader Chiang Bhat Sing.-Sayangsabah
