KUALA LUMPUR: For the past three years Ahmad Rushdi Rahmad and Suhana Shukri have been blessed with an extraordinary gift of life on the first day of Syawal with the birth of each of their children.
Ahmad Rushdi, 38, said this Aidilfitri he experienced the same happiness and excitement again with the birth of his first son at Kajang Plaza Medical Centre (KPMC) here yesterday morning.
“For three years I have not had the opportunity to perform Aidilfitri prayers like other Muslims as I had to accompany my wife for delivery,” he told Bernama today.
Ahmad Rushdi said his eldest and second children namely Nur Danisha Fitri, 3, and Nur Irdina Fitri, 1, were born on the morning of the first day of Aidilfitri.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to accompany my wife during the birth of our son, and this time as before my wife gave birth normally to a healthy baby,” he said.
In conjunction with Aidilfitri, Ahmad Rushdi and his wife chose to name their son Muhammad Aydan Fitri and hoped next year they have the opportunity to return to Kampung Suhana in Sungkai, Perak, for Aidilfitri.
