KOTA KINABALU: The government supports the implementation of activities or programmes which encourage human interaction especially among youths, amid the ever-progressing technological era.
The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman, said efforts in improving interaction between individuals by hi-tech countries such as Japan are a commendable initiative.
“I am sure that everyone agrees that no matter how important the function of technology is in connecting people, face to face interaction is more meaningful,” he said.
His text speech was delivered by the state Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan, during the Ship for 42nd Southeast Asian and Japan Youth programme hled at Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, yesterday.
Musa also urges the youth to travel either in or outside the country.
“Many problems can be solved or prevented if they (youth) can interact with other people regardless of their cultures and community background,” he added.
He also said that participants from other countries will have enjoyable experience with their selected foster families throughout the programme. -SayangSabah
