KOTA KINABALU: All programme and activity plannings for 2016 need to focus on the targeted group and we should optimize expenditures so that the spending is in accordance with the target.
The state Minister of Resource Development and IT Technology, Datuk Siringan Gubat said 2016 will be a challenging year in term of economy, however, projects beneficial for the public should contimue.
He also hoped that ministries and government agencies would not to use the current slowing economy as an excuse to give low quality services to the people.
He said the effort to produce competitive human resource can be fulfilled through the role of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (JPSM), if it is upgraded on par with other skill training centres.
“Any courses deemed to be outdated should be replaced and I also hope that JPSM to increase its participants for skills courses especially the ones held at ILTP, Papar. If the number of participants stagnates, we can only train a small group of school graduates despite of their increase every year,” he added. –SayangSabah
