SANDAKAN: Private sectors’ participation in helping religious and knowledge centres such as tahfiz schools to improve education development among the local communities are much encouraged.
According to the Sekong Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Samsudin Yahya, the participation of various parties is important as a symbol for the community on the unity between the corporate sector and the public.
“(Their) supports are important for us to make the national education agenda a success where the education institutions are not helped solely by the government,” he said during the Ramadhan Ihya Ceremony and TNS Shell Station Donation Presentation for Maahad Tahfiz Wassunnah (MTQS) in Sandakan.
Samsudin also said the tahfiz centre has achieved outstanding performance where is has sent its students to further their studies in Egypt and Kuala Lumpur.
He said the achievements are thanks to the diligence and commitments of everyone especially the students in equipping themselves with knowledge and skills in their selected profession. – SayangSabah
