TAWAU: The state government will preserve its close tie with the federal government in ensuring that Sabah continues to be part of Malaysia.

The Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Musa Aman, said the peace and prosperity enjoyed by Sabah are good reasons for the state to remain in Malaysia.

“From the beginning we hace said that (Sabah) will remain and united in Malaysia,” he said when met during the Zone 6 UMNO Open House at Tawau Community Hall.

“We are thankful with Malaysia for the peace that we enjoy, besides from we are able to develop out state, where wer receive good cooperation from the federal government to bring progress to Sabah and Sarawak just like other states in the peninsular,” he added.

Regarding on the event, Musa commended the local communities for their unity shown during the Raya open house.

“With so many present, we can see how various religions and ethnics are banded together especially during festive season. This unity and cooperation is a boon for development in the state,” he said. – SayangSabah
