KOTA KINABALU – Sabah football team is urged to show excellent performance in the Premier League that will officially start tomorrow.

“They will have to show high commitment to gain a win throughout the early matches and in the Premier League,” the Sabah Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan said when met today.

According to him, only with an outstanding performance can entice the fans to return to the stadium and give their support to our state football team.

“For the last few years, whenever a match involve the state’s team at Likas Stadium, the number of supporters had been very few,” he added.

Sabah Rhinos team now has the best lineup including Liverpool English Premier League former star, El Hadji Diouf. “With and excellent players lineup, we hope for the state team to emerge victorious in each matches and climbs up to the Super League in the next season,” he said.

Sabah Rhinos will begin their Premier League campaign this season at Merdeka Stadium, facing Kuala Lumpur tomorrow at 4.45pm.

For Sabahan fans in Klang Valley, this is a good opportunity to give support to Sabah Rhinos tomorrow as entry to the opening match is free. – Sayangsabah
