KENINGAU: Keningau District Education Department (PPD) with Keningau District Police Headquarters (IPD) will collaborate in organizing In-Service Training (LDP) for teachers and police cadets at the secondary schools in the district.
District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Douglas Taong, said the training is to improve their curricular activities and systematize the use of uniforms among the police cadets in the district.
“Besides from discussing about the organizing of LDP, we have also decided for Keningau IPD to visit all the district’s secondary schools which have a police cadet organization in their co-curriculum,” he said after the Keningau District Police Cadet Corps Meeting.
Douglas said, the selection of teachers to supervise police cadets will be implemented and coordinated in school level and a Police Cadet Teachers are advised to become the example for students who are active in police cadet activities by having a complete uniform.
Douglas also express his hope for the setting up of police cadet corps in schools will improve students’ discipline as well as helping the school in tackling societial problems. – SayangSabah
