TAWAU: The high utilization for online services by civil servants in the state has enable Sabah to achieve a 100 percent usage for its application which is developed through the State Electronic Government System, this year.
Sabah Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Nilwan Kabang, said the target is also supported by the continuous effort by the State Computer Services Department (JPKN) and other agencies.
Based on the record of Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Administration Planning (MAMPU), he said, until 12 January of this year the status for online service in the state has achieved 91.39 percent compared to other states in the country.
“This means our state is ahead from other states in Malaysia who uses the online system, compared to last year we only achieved second place with 81.26 percent,” he said in his speech for officiating the 2015 State level ICT Seminar for East and West Coast Region at Tawau Library Auditorium.
Nilwan said, the usage record for the State Electronic Government application has not achieved the targeted 100 percent despite the positive increase compared to last year. – SayangSabah
