KOTA KINABALU: The district police headquarters (IPD) today held a PDRM Meet the People programme, with about 150 residents attended the event at Foh Sang, Luyang.
The programme is to give the public the opportunity to voice their complaints or issues regarding on their neighbourhood safety.
Twenty seven personnel including the Chief of Crimes Prevention and Neighbourhood Safety Unit, Deputy Superintendant Kalsom Hg. Idris, and three public servants were involved in the event.
“Among the issues raised (in the event) are related to traffic and commerce, besides from holding registrations for Rakan Cop,” according to the IPD statement.
The residents also ask the police to carry out their patrol to prevent crimes more frequently at housing areas and gas stations, it said.
They also urged for traffic police to control traffic flow especially after the end of school session and monitor vehicles parked at roadsides. – SayangSabah
