KOTA KINABALU: A man in his thirties was shocked when he found his house front gate was opened and inside of his house it was messed up as he returned from vacation, believed to be broke-in by robbers in Taman Sepanggar, near here on 23 February.
District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner M. Chandra, said the complainant who arrived at his home about 5.00pm examined his house and found several electronic items and a Honda motorcycle has been stolen, worth RM 7,700.
“The police who investigated the case then arrested two male suspects in two different locations at Taman Bukit Sepanggar and Kg. Lokub, on 24 February,” he told the media at District Police Headquarters, Karamunsing, here today.
He added that another suspect was also arrested in Taman Sepanggar after further investigation, and the police have retrieved the stolen items including the motorcycle.
“The three men known as Geng Lokub used the method of prying open the door of their targeted house before breaking in,” he said, adding that all suspects are also drug positive for amphetamine.
The three suspects aged from 19 to 28 years old are also involved in four other break-in cases which were reported in Sepanggar and Universiti Condo around August and December last year, with Rm11,800 worth in stolen items.
“All suspects are now arrested for investigation under Section 457/379A of the Penal Code,” he said. – SayangSabah
